Willow House? Not so much...
Through the amazing miniature community I have learned that my dollhouse is not the Greenleaf 'Willow' model but rather the 'Jefferson' model (since I purchased the URL 'Red Fox WILLOW' I'm just going to roll with the whole 'Willow' name).
The Jefferson is an example of colonial American "Saltbox" architecture. Below are a few examples of Saltbox architecture that I pulled off of the Internet. I love the simplicity of this design and I plan on renovating the exterior of my dollhouse accordingly.
I think I am going to remove my shutters and pick a fun color combo for the exterior and trim.
This weekend I spent a lot of time working on removing wallpaper and some of the flooring. I feel like I made good progress and have just a few more hours of work until Willow House will be a blank slate.
Oh, I also purchased a cheap lazy Susan from TJ Maxx which made Willow House mobile!
This week I hope to finish removing the wallpaper and will start planning out the new flooring.
Stay tuned...
